  • The Vélodyssée, which was a few miles north of the Côte d'Argent, is gradually approaching it between Moliets-et-Mâa and Messanges. The route then finally meets the mighty ocean at Vieux-Boucau, a very pleasant stop today.
    On leaving Léon, the track dips south-west towards Moliets, where the chapel of St Laurent, known as the "Templars' chapel", is a reminder that it was an ancient stage on the Way of St James. In Messanges, a track leads to the beach (4 km) or you can continue to Vieux...

In Messanges, a track leads to the beach (4 km) or you can continue to Vieux Boucau port d'Albret, the family seaside resort par excellence. On the site of the old estuary of the Adour, the resort has developed by retaining - to form a large freshwater pond, part of the current coming from Soustons.
